DPA - Public Relations and Protocol Section

The Public Relations Section started as an Information Services Department in the University of Cape Coast. In 1976, under the leadership of the then Registrar, E.V.D Mante, the Information Unit became the Public Relations, Publicity and Publications Section. The Public Relations and Protocol Section is a section under the Directorate of Public Affairs. Currently, there are three units under the section, namely, University Catering Services, Technical Unit (PA System Management), and the Senior Common Room.

The role of the section in the university is very enormous and needs to be handled with a well thought out Strategic Plan that will encapsulate all activities for maintaining good rapport with both internal and external stakeholders in projecting the University’s image.

Having existed for several years, it was imperative for the section to draw a Strategic Plan to guide its operations for the next five years. The Strategic Plan for the Public Relations and Protocol Section of the University of Cape Coast for the years 2018 to 2023 is captured in this document.
